Hen of The Wood
Eric Warnstedt and William McNeil, owners of Hen of The Wood, say their mission is "to provide a true Vermont Dining experience". They have kept their dedication to sustainability and to supporting local artisans and farmers in the process. Their small, barn-like setting is the ideal setting for savoring their exquisite, modern American fare. Their beer, wine, and cocktail lists are excellent, and their service, like their food, is well-known. In addition, their menu changes every day but always includes items like coriander roasted cauliflower and hanger steak with smoked potatoes and charred scallion. There is also a location in Burlington.
Their values remain the same, and their menus alter on a regular basis to reflect the abundance of superior items available within a few miles of the restaurant. Hen of The Wood has built a network of growers, craftsmen, designers, ranchers, bakers, wild craftspeople, and others who are working to achieve environmental harmony while also growing their businesses.
