Hpa-An: For Mesmerizing Views
Hpa An is a picturesque town with a backpacker feel that sits on the eastern bank of the Thanlwin (Salween) river, about 270 kilometres east of Yangon. It is a very popular travel city in Myanmar and although not always visited by many tourists, it offers a great experience overall. The rugged and rustic feel of this particular town makes it unique and is loved by the majority of tourists visiting it. It snuggles up to the calm and reflective waters of the Thanlwin River.
One of the most important and popular spots in Hpa-An is Zydan Road. Zydan Road is dotted with cafes and the perfect place to just sit and relax. The shores of Lake Kan Thar Yar are another great place to around and you can be sure to enjoy the clear water that reflects when you walk along the water. Other major attractions in the area are Mount Zwegabin and the monastery there.
