Macleod Island: Witness The Bucolic Nature
While you may be exhausted from touring pilgrimage sites all throughout Myanmar, Macleod Island is a decent enough destination to visit. It is located in Myanmar's extreme south and is one of the 800 unspoiled islands in the Andaman Sea. Not only do you get to see an incredible view all around you, but the island is also rich in a vibrant diversity of flora and fauna, which adds to the entire experience of visiting this location. If tropical weather is something you'd like to experience while in Myanmar, Macleod Island is a great place to start.
If you want to explore the water, there are also scuba diving and snorkeling opportunities. Nearby cafes and eateries serve up dish after dish of delectable seafood and appetizers. Beaches in Myanmar are best frequented between December and April, when spring brings delightfully pleasant weather. In April, there is also the Water Festival (Thingyan), where everyone comes out to celebrate.
