Pindaya: Trek & Explore Places
Myanmar is well-known for its religious beliefs, and Pindaya is one of the more off-the-beaten-path destinations you may come across. Even so, it is located on the crest of the majestic Shan Hills, primarily in the eastern Myelat region, and is one of the tourist destinations. Pindaya is famous for its limestone caves, its attractive lakeside setting, and the traditional Shan paper umbrellas that are manufactured here.
It is mostly known for providing a glimpse into the country's Buddhist histories. The entire landmark is made up of a series of deep caves and is home to over 8000 images of Lord Buddha. The statues and images are adorned in beautiful gold and brass hues that glimmer in the shadowy caverns. Aside from the religious sites in the area, there is also a large influx of tourists visiting the lake next to Pindaya. From Kalaw to Boot, you can also trek through the region and cross mountains.
