In the Shadow of Iris (2016)

Iris (English title: In the Shadow of Iris) is a 2016 French erotic thriller drama film co-written and directed by Jalil Lespert and starring Romain Duris, Charlotte Le Bon and Lespert himself.

The film opens with Antoine and Iris dining in a restaurant. Iris vanishes and is reportedly kidnapped as Antoine pays the bill. Soon after, he receives a phone call from the kidnappers, who want a payment in order to free her. The cops start their inquiry. Meanwhile, Iris had staged her own kidnapping since Antoine had been cheating on her with a woman named Claudia in the middle of their own mediocre sex life and Antoine's fondness for BDSM. 'In the Shadow of Iris' is the narrative of a lost woman named Iris who faces danger yet remaining morally decent throughout.
