Established in 1963, the International School of Luxembourg (ISL) is an independent, non-profit, university-preparatory day school in Luxembourg. It caters to students aged 3-18, offering a standards-based English language education. The school welcomes students from various backgrounds, representing about 40 different nationalities.

To help students who are not native English speakers fully participate in school life, ISL has a comprehensive program called English as an Additional Language (EAL). Recognized as an International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) World School since 1995, ISL provides the International Baccalaureate Diploma program. The school has two parts: the Upper School (grades 6-12) and the Lower School (preschool to grade 5).

Enrolling just over 900 students, the school year runs from late August to late June. ISL's curriculum balances academic subjects with arts, technology, and physical education training. French is taught from kindergarten, and German is introduced from grade 6. After-school programs in various languages, including Japanese, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Italian, German, and Icelandic, are available. There are also many extracurricular activities, such as sports teams, music, and drama.

Supported by the Luxembourg government, ISL has excellent facilities in its main building, which was constructed in 2000. This facility includes classrooms, computer labs, science labs, libraries, music and art studios, and a 400-seat auditorium. Classrooms have computers, projectors, and interactive whiteboards. A cafeteria provides meals for students and staff.

The Lower School has dedicated kindergarten through second-grade classrooms with computers and interactive tools. ISL's campus includes a gymnasium, a sports field, a playground, and swimming pools. As a Northwest European Council of International Schools (NECIS) Sports Council member, ISL participates in varsity athletics competitions, including volleyball, soccer/football, cross country, basketball, swimming, skiing, and track. The school is committed to providing its students with a well-rounded and enriching educational experience.
