Jean Piaget University of Angola

The Universidade Jean Piaget de Angola is a university in Luanda, Angola, having campuses around the province of Benguela. It is named after Jean Piaget, a Swiss philosopher. In 1999, the university was established.

The university had 815 students registered in 2005 and is one of seven state-recognized universities in the country, both private and public. Computer science, sociology, law, and other subjects are among the university's 17 undergraduate and 5 postgraduate programmes. An estimated $8 million USD will be invested on a future university expansion project that will add four three-story buildings on a 35-hectare site to house 2,500 students.
