Johannes Kepler University Linz
The Johannes Kepler University Linz is an Austrian public higher education institution. It is located in Linz, Upper Austria's capital. In business, engineering, law, science, social sciences, and medical, it offers bachelor's, master's, certificate, and doctoral degrees.
Today, 19,930 students attend the park campus in Linz's northeast, with one out of every nine students coming from outside the country. In 1998, the institution became the first in Austria to implement an electronic student ID.
The Johann Radon Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics (RICAM) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences is based within the institution.
The JKU was named # 41 in the Times Higher Education's top 100 universities under 50 years old in 2012, and # 87 in 2015. The JKU was ranked as the fifth best young university in German-speaking Europe in 2012. For quotations, third-party finance, and globalization efforts, the university received top marks.
