University of Graz
The University of Graz is the largest and oldest university in Styria, as well as the second-largest and second-oldest university in Austria. It is located in Graz, Austria.
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Faculty of Natural Sciences are the two main faculties of the institution. Faculty of Law, Faculty of Business, Economic, and Social Sciences, Faculty of Environmental, Regional, and Educational Sciences, and Faculty of Catholic Theology are the other faculties. In 2004, state legislation withdrew the Faculty of Medicine from the university, resulting in the establishment of the Medical University of Graz. The faculties provide a variety of undergraduate (BA, BSc), graduate (MA, MSc), and doctoral (PhD) degree programs, as well as unique teaching degrees in respective areas of competence.
In the 2018 QS World University Rankings, the university is ranked 287th in Arts and Humanities, while all other subject areas fall behind, with the Faculty of Social Sciences ranging 451–500 and the Faculty of Natural Sciences ranking 401–450.
