Jordanelle Reservoir
The next position on the list of the best lakes to visit in Utah is Jordanelle Reservoir. This substantial reservoir is located close to Park City, around one hour from Salt Lake City. The reservoir is perfectly suited for water sports including fishing and boating. Some of the 2002 Summer Olympics' events were held at the reservoir. The Jordanelle Reservoir is a great area to spend a weekend or longer even though it's close to the city. The state park's three campgrounds are wonderful destinations for families.
A broad pebbly beach and swim-to structures moored just offshore make up the well-designed beach area. But be aware that the water is often chilly and hardly ever rises over the mid-70s Fahrenheit range. Picnic tables, sun shelters, and restrooms are nearby the beach.
The marina offers boat launches and rental spots along with all things maritime, such as gasoline, pump-out stations, rentals, and miscellaneous supplies. The reservoir is a fantastic location for boating for fun, however, it may get crowded on warm summer weekends.
