Sevier Lake

Sevier Lake is an erratic, endorheic lake that can be found in Millard County, Utah, at the base of the Sevier Desert. It is a relic of Pleistocene Lake Bonneville, just like the Great Salt Lake and Utah Lake. Sevier Lake receives extra inflow from its watershed, which is a part of the Escalante-Sevier hydrologic subregion and is principally nourished by the Beaver and Sevier rivers. The lake is a source of wind-blown dust and has remained largely dry throughout history.

The Sevier Desert's lowest point is where Sevier Lake is located. The sporadic and endorheic lake was formerly known as Lake Bonneville during the Pleistocene. Even though the lake is mostly dry for the majority of the year, it is nevertheless worthwhile to visit. Sand surrounds it, making it rather beautiful to look at. The Colorado Plateau and the Basin and Range geological province are separated by the lake, which is located at an elevation of around 1,370 meters.
