Strawberry Reservoir

In the U.S. state of Utah, there is a sizable reservoir called Strawberry Reservoir. With over 1.5 million angling hours yearly, it is Utah's most well-liked fishery and is a member of the Blue Ribbon Fisheries program. Sterilized rainbow trout, bear lake cutthroat trout, kokanee salmon, and crayfish are some of the game fish found in the reservoir. On U.S. Route 40, it is situated 37 kilometers southeast of Heber, Utah. Strawberry Valley is where the reservoir is located. Normally, the Colorado River drainage includes this valley. Water was redirected into Utah Valley by building the dam.

There are four significant fishing spots at Strawberry Reservoir. The Strawberry Basin, which contains the original 8,400-acre Reservoir, is the largest, accounting for 64% of the reservoir's content. The Meadows fills a valley of the lower Indian Creek Drainage and is situated at the southernmost point of the reservoir, south of the Indian Creek Dike. The deepest fishing region is called Soldier Creek Basin, which also has Stinking Springs and Soldier Creek Bay in addition to the former Soldier Creek Reservoir. The Strawberry River and Indian Creek drainage systems are part of The Narrows, which is located between Strawberry and Soldier Creek.
