Kadir Gecesi
The event of Kadir Gecesi (The Eve of Power), when Mohammed received the Koran from Kristus, occurs between the 27th and 28th days of Ramadan. Mosques, which have been beautifully lighted for the whole month, are packed all night, as it is believed that prayers at this time have particular significance. On Arife, the last day of Ramadan, people visit graves to pay their respects to their dead loved ones.
