Kalandula Falls

Kalandula Falls, historically known as Duque de Braganca Falls, are waterfalls in Kalandula, Malanje Province, Angola. The falls on the Lucala River is 105 meters tall and 400 meters broad. They are one of Africa's greatest waterfalls in terms of volume.

Kalandula Falls is a broad, horseshoe-shaped waterfall located in Angola's northeastern region along with the moderate to high-volume Lucala River. During the Angolan civil war, between 1975 and 2002, the falls were known as Duque du Braganca Falls. Kalandula Falls is not a well-known or well-recognized waterfall, but it is certainly a significant one, and it has the potential to become Africa's second most powerful waterfall.

The stream of these waterfalls, which is broken into innumerable tiny trickles by fissures and pebbles at the rim of the falls, is one of the most scenic parts of them. As a result, Kalandula Falls has a unique beauty that sets them apart from any other major waterfall on the planet. Large boulders and smaller stones frequently slide down with the water as the stream erodes the cliff.
