Keaton Myrick, an independent watchmaker based in Portland, Oregon, is a typical American artisan. His hand-crafted mechanisms and clocks are legendary in their own right. He spent six years fixing rare and essential timepieces while simultaneously preparing his workshop for the design and production of high-end watches after graduating with WOSTEP accreditation from the Lititz Watch Technicum.

Being able to spend time with some of the finest timepieces ever produced provided him with first-hand experience of what it takes to create a timepiece that would last. Seeing a watchmaker's concept and application for a mechanism, then seeing what 100+ years of usage did to it, proved to be a priceless education. As a result, he takes great satisfaction in the production of my watches and goes to great efforts to apply classic watchmaking techniques and tools in every timepiece that leaves Keaton Myrick's workshop.

The Caliber 29.30 is one in 30 pieces is designed and manufactured in Keaton Myrick. The circular-grained finish radiates outward from the house-manufactured balance wheel beating at a graceful 18,000bph. The hairspring is free-sprung and uses four 18k rose gold weights for regulation. The screwed center wheel Chaton is made from steel and black polished, pressing the brittle ruby jewel into the hardened steel Chaton requires the utmost precision and yields a striking aesthetic.
