Kick-Ass (2010)

Kick-Ass is a 2010 action comedy based on the comics by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.

Dave Lizewski is a regular high school student and a great admirer of comic books with one burning question: why hasn't anyone ever tried to be a superhero in real life before? After being robbed, the issue becomes an obsession, and he decides to answer it by becoming one himself. He buys a wetsuit and a diving mask and attempts to fight crime.

It doesn't go so well.

He eventually learns and improves, with a little help from a more experienced pair of vigilantes, a father-daughter duo dedicated to tracking down the Big Bad. Along the way, it manages to demolish almost every superhero stereotype in an attempt to answer the question, "What would happen if someone without special talents sought to be a superhero?".
