Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) incorporates well-known elements of its Toronto location, as well as images from video games and comic books. It based each fictitious band in the battle of the band's narrative on genuine musical musicians, such as Beck and Metric, with some of the actors also performing. The complex visual effects were created using a combination of digital and traditional processes.
