Kirgizistan-Türkiye Manas Üniversitesi (Manas University)
Manas University was established in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, in accordance with an agreement signed in Izmir on September 30, 1995, between the governments of the Republic of Turkey and the Kyrgyz Republic regarding the establishment of a Kyrgyz Turkish "Manas University" in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan's capital city.
Students from the Kyrgyz Republic must pass a university test, however, students from Turkey, as well as other students from Turkic peoples and allied communities, are accepted based on their scores on the Student Selection and Placement Center examination (TCS).
The university has the same status as other universities in Turkey, according to the Council of Higher Education. The university's education is free, and students are awarded "Academic Achievement Scholarships". The textbooks are provided. The Government of the Republic of Turkey awards educational scholarships. Students are provided with a low-cost lunch and can apply for dorm accommodations.
Turkish and Kyrgyz languages, as well as English and Russian, are used as teaching mediums. With students from 14 nations and regions, Manas University represents a multicultural atmosphere. Students have a vibrant campus life outside of class, with a variety of sports teams, student groups, and campus activities such as contests, festivals, career days, tournaments, and more.
KTMU offers students internships at the Central Bank of Turkey, the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE), Turkey Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), Turkey Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB), Turkish Ziraat Bank, and other institutions to enhance their education. Mevlana, ERASMUS PLUS, Open World, and the US Central Asian Education Foundation offer exchange opportunities for students.
