Uluslararasi Atatürk-Alatoo Üniversitesi (Ala-Too International University)
The International Atatürk-Alatoo University, formerly known as the Ala-Too International University, is a private university in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. It was founded in 1996. Graduate, master's, and doctorate programs are available at the university. It is frequently regarded as one of Kyrgyzstan's most distinguished educational institutions.
The university's major medium of teaching is English. Some classes, however, are offered in Russian, while others are taught in Turkish. The global Islamic education funds and runs the Ala-Too International University. The university was renamed from the International Atatürk-Alatoo University to the Ala-Too International University after the 2016 Turkish coup attempt, which the Turkish government blames on Gülen. It also appointed a Kyrgyz rector and began to position itself more as a local institution.
The Sebat Educational Foundation, which promotes and upholds the beliefs of Islam taught by Fethullah Gülen, founded the Ala-Too International University in 1996 as the International Atatürk-Alatoo University.
