Kite Flying Competition
The Kite Flying Competition, held on Easter Monday (also a public holiday here), has been going on for 22 years. The most famous festival in the Turks and Caicos Islands offers a great day out for all the family. Organizers encourage handmade kites, and the main event includes prizes for the most artistic, largest, smallest, and best kites. The famous festival is held at multiple locations across Grand Turk, Providenciales, and North Caicos, and is very popular with locals.
