Krishnarpan
Krishnarpan, a restaurant within Dwarika's Hotel grounds, serves luxury Nepalese cuisine patterned on the show dining experience, with all ingredients farmed on Dwarika's own organic farms. The décor of the hotel and restaurant is inspired by the ancient Newari style, and the hotel, which recently won the PATA (Pacific Asia Travel Association) Heritage Award, houses a huge collection of 13th-century Nepalese relics.
Traditional eating involves low-seated tables where visitors remove their shoes and perch on cushions to feast. Meals range from six to 22 dishes, allowing customers to sample a wide range of local cuisines, such as bandel tareko, a dish of grilled wild boar and spices, and kukhura ko masu, a Nepalese twist on chicken curry – all of which are perfectly complemented by a glass of rakshi, a rice-based liquor.
