Places, or 'Thau' as it is called locally, provides organic vegetarian cuisine from its tiny restaurant located on the quiet Seven Corners side street. Places is a collaboration of three friends, Pradip, Sanjay, and Michael, who have a passion for healthy, nutritional food. Places Restaurant and Bar is in the top 9 of the best restaurants in Nepal. The menu pulls elements from all over the world, featuring meals influenced by Nepalese, Middle Eastern, and European traditions.

Among the menu, offerings are biber dolmasi, a Turkish delicacy of stuffed peppers, spinach pie with sautéed veggies and Hollandaise sauce, and regionally inspired cupcakes made with karela, a bitter squash, and vegetable often used in Nepali cuisine. The restaurant, which is popular with both residents and visitors to Kathmandu, has a lovely, laid-back ambiance, complete with rooftop hammocks where guests can relax and take in the scenery.
