Kuaishou, a mobile app for sharing short videos with others, a social network, and a video special effects editor, was created in 2011 by Beijing Kuaishou Technologies and engineers Hua Su and Cheng Yixiao.
It has more than 200 million users worldwide as of 2019 and currently ranks first on the "Most Downloaded" lists of the Google Play and Apple App Stores in eight nations, including Brazil. This software is known as Snack Video in Pakistan and Indonesia. In foreign markets, it is frequently referred to as "Kwai". Douyin, which is popularly known as TikTok outside of China, is its main rival.
The former CEO of the application 99 is in charge of Kuaishou's worldwide team, which also includes employees from Google, Facebook, Netflix, and TikTok. Kuaishou is partially owned by the China Internet Investment Fund, a state-owned company that reports to the Chinese Cyberspace Administration.
