Kumquat Coffee

On November 24, 2018, Kumquat Coffee debuted on York Boulevard, taking over the space left vacant by smoothie shop The Juice after it closed. Similar to many other coffee shops in Los Angeles, Kumquat offers Third-Wave style artisanal coffee but sets itself apart by including a variety of foreign coffee and tea drinks.

Kumquat Coffee in Highland Park is a caffeinated drinker's nirvana because it is highly selected and highly technological. You can bring Kumquat's sharp eye for style and quality into your home with rows of bagged coffee beans, ceremonial-grade matcha, jasmine-tea chocolate bars, and every imaginable appliance, or you can leave it to the professionals, who will be happy to whisk, brew, and steam you a variety of cold brews, dirty chais, matcha tonics, and espresso pulls with milk tea. Hungry? In case all that caffeine isn't enough nourishment, they also provide freshly baked pastries and breakfast burritos.

The cafe purchases its coffee beans from nearby and far away suppliers, including the San Francisco Bay Area, Australia, Sweden, Germany, and Korea. Since making the conversion to an online business, they offer beans from a variety of countries, including Colombia, Ethiopia, Burundi, Rwanda, and El Salvador, among others.
