Maru Coffee

Two stores and a roastery may be found in Los Angeles, where Korean-Americans control the coffee firm Maru Coffee. The word "Maru" is derived from the ancient Korean word "San Ma Ru," which means mountaintop. We intentionally and simply prepare coffee in an effort to produce flavors and sensations that people will remember.

Maru Coffee is a clean and efficient business where the coffee and its technology take center stage in a sea of light woods and white walls. It is minimal in that dreamy sort of "I wish my own home looked this amazing" sort of way. And for good reason: This coffee deserves to be the center of attention. Of course, there are other options available as well: The menu includes ceremonial-grade matcha as well as thoughtful pour-overs, limited releases, bottles of house-made syrups, and espresso tonics topped with dried citrus. Cafe was created with the goal of fostering a cozy atmosphere and appreciating the analog energy that allows for the unifying power of plain coffee in a communal setting.
