Laguna Negra
In the autonomous community of Castile and León, in north-central Spain, Laguna Negra (Black Lagoon Urbión) is a high mountain glacial lake at an elevation of 1.731m (5,679ft) above sea level. It is situated north of the province of Soria. It's rumored that the lagoon is haunted.
The Picos de Urbión mountain range's asphalted road leads to the lagoon, which is rather slender and steep. It is sometimes referred to as Vinuesa's Laguna Negra. The 10.8-kilometer rise starts on the SO-830 road. The elevation gain throughout this distance is 401m with an average gradient of 3.73%, but there are some spots with an 8% grade.
The geological wonder Laguna Negra is well worth a trip. Excellent views may be had while trekking above the lake, and there is a summit to reach at 2228 meters. The lake is lovely, and the trees provide the necessary fresh air. La Laguna Negra is a fantastic location for hiking as well. This lake also is one of the best lakes to visit in Spain.
