Lake Sanabria
The Sanabria lake (Lago de Sanabria) is situated in the province of Zamora, Castile, and León, Spain, in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, at an elevation of roughly 1000 meters above sea level. Puebla de Sanabria, a historical complex, is the closest city. It is the biggest glacial lake on the Iberian Peninsula and in Spain. The river Tera correlates to the lake's primary entrance and exit flows of water.
The oak grove Quercus pyrenaica, whose specimens typically do not surpass 1500 m in altitude and which are well adapted to combat the cold of winter, dominates the woodland that surrounds the lake.
One of the largest lakes in Europe and Spain is Lake Sanabria, which is located in Zamora, Castile, and León. The Sanabria Lake National Park contains the lake. The neighboring area is home to many different varieties of flora and animals, including 76 different bird species and 17 large mammals, making this reserve a haven for nature lovers. Put on your hiking boots and explore the untamed terrain on one of the many routes available. After all, that walking, take a break by relaxing on one of the lake's beautiful beaches or checking into a nearby campground, cottage, or lodge.
