Lake Hornavan
Lake Hornavan, the deepest lake in Sweden, is encircled by stunning, unspoiled mountains and woods in Swedish Lapland, just south of the Arctic Circle. Its neighboring forests are home to moose, bears, and reindeer, and national parks have conserved much of the area's pristine scenery.
The largest chasms in the earth were gouged by glaciers long ago to create Lake Hornavan. Like other lakes in the nation, the bulk of these bodies of water receive their freshwater from glacial melt that occurs during the fleeting spring and summer months.
By the lake, there are several possibilities for lodging all year long. There are several options for individuals who would like to take part in group or guided trips, including some really primitive outdoor adventures that are ideal for the young (or young at heart), fit, and courageous.
If you want to spend some time outdoors exploring Sweden's wild areas and seeing some endemic wildlife, this is the ideal place to include on your itinerary.
Location: Arjeplog Municipality in the province of Swedish Lapland
