Leslie Sansone’s Walk at Home
Leslie Sansone's routines first remind me of kitschy 1980s fitness films with nonstop smiles, steady rhythms, and closely synced movements. After watching one of her 45-minute films and likely breaking a sweat, you'll understand that her walks are much more than meets the eye. Walk at Home gives a thorough exercise with no equipment by including interval training (even if it is not explicitly stated) and keeping people moving throughout the session. It's ideal for folks who have physical restrictions or just wish to discover an alternate kind of cardio to the traditional ones. We recommend the shorter, one-mile walks for beginners; to amp it up a notch, try the weighted DVDs for extra strength training.
Check out the video mentioned above for a beginner's exercise; to really get your heart rate up, try one of the lengthier Tabata HIIT workouts.
