MAMMOTH MOUNTAIN
Located in eastern California on the east side of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in the Inyo National Forest, Mammoth Mountain Ski Area is a sizable ski resort in the western United States. 28 lifts serve the more than 3,500 acres of skiable terrain at Mammoth.
Mammoth is a fantastic all-around resort with everything you need for a terrific mountain trip, despite being a considerable journey from Los Angeles. Whether powder-filled bowls, spotless glades, soft groomers, or even a 22-foot halfpipe are more your style of fun, Mammoth Mountain has you covered! With an elevation of 11,053 feet, The Summit is one of the highest lift-served peaks in California. There are lodging options for every price range. There is no lack of things to do besides skiing, including a tubing park, snowmobiling, and snowcat tours. But all of this has one drawback-during the holidays and on a weekend with new snow, the slopes may get extremely crowded.
