MT. BALDY
The Mount Baldy Ski Lifts, sometimes known as "Baldy," is a ski resort situated on Mount San Antonio—Mount Baldy in the San Gabriel Mountains. It is situated in Southern California's San Bernardino County. Los Angeles, the city nearest to the ski resort, is 45 miles away.
Mt. Baldy is a simple day trip that can be taken from Los Angeles in only one hour. The resort isn't particularly big, but what it lacks in size it makes up for with challenging tree runs and steep chutes. The majority of the defined trails here are advanced, and Chair 4's summit provides simple access to the powder-filled backcountry. There are a few blue and green routes that descend from the two 8,600-foot summits, but the resort's lower half is entirely made up of difficult black runs. Stick to the terrain off of Chair 3 if you notice that the snow is beginning to turn slushy in the late afternoon because these north-facing slopes maintain their quality longer.
