Maria International School
The community and atmosphere of Maria International School strives to develop students who are intelligent, creative, and global citizens. To provide children with a solid foundation of knowledge and experiences that will help them in their education and everyday lives beyond MISB, staff members and the community collaborate to create an environment that offers high-quality education throughout the Early Years, KS1, and KS2 levels.
The largest educational association of international British schools abroad, The Council of British International Schools (COBIS), has Maria International School of Bucharest as an official Patron’s Accredited Member School.
The comprehensive, kid-centered curriculum is always evolving to support students' growth by giving them the skills and information they need to advance socially, emotionally, and culturally. The school aims to give kids the chance to explore areas outside of the regularly prescribed curriculum for knowledge and life skills that spark their interest.
Throughout the Early Years program, the school bases its teaching strategies on the seven areas of learning and adopts an innovative approach to the English National Curriculum. The MISB Early Years curriculum promotes logical thinking, early language development, and social education. Additionally, it offers a variety of extracurricular activities designed to enhance each child's unique skill set.
Every day, each class studies the Romanian language in addition to the core subjects of Science, Topic, English, Math, and PSHE. Every week, primary students get to enjoy classes like Dance and German, Music, Art, and IT, as well as classes that challenge their creativity and physical abilities.
Apart from the conventional classroom setting, Maria International School arranges field trips to interesting places like climbing gyms and forest reserves, as well as theaters and museum visits. These excursions support academic objectives because extracurricular activities introduce students to the practical side of learning.
