Masked Angelfish
This next fish in the list of most expensive aquarium fishes is even more affordable, costing $15,000 USD and being relatively easy to obtain. The masked angelfish is a species of marine ray-finned fish and a member of the Pomacanthidae family. The masked angelfish lives in the same depths and habitat as the peppermint angelfish. This fish, however, is less expensive as a result of aquariums' successful breeding efforts (both private and public). It can be found in the area around Hawaii, specifically the Midway and Kure Atolls.
When compared to the peppermint angelfish, this fish has a much smoother and slicker appearance. It has three colors: white, black, and yellow. The main color of its body is white, with yellow and blackish blue fins. The coloring will vary depending on the fish, but the colors will remain consistent. It will grow to be approximately 7 inches long.
