The restaurant has garnered multiple honors since it opened in 2010, including a 4 out of 5-star rating from The Boston Globe, distinction as one of Esquire and Bon Appétit magazines' finest new restaurants in 2010, and a James Beard Foundation Award nomination in 2011 for Best New Restaurant. Menton, the only Relais & Châteaux and Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star resort in Boston, won the Best Newcomer, Best French, and Best Service awards in the 2011–2012 Zagat Boston Restaurant Guide. Chef Barbara Lynch is the only female currently holding the prestigious position of Grand Chef Relais & Châteaux in the United States.
Two private event spaces are available at Menton in addition to the eating area and bar, making them ideal for gatherings with coworkers, friends, or family. The Chef's Table, a room with sweeping views of the kitchen, accommodates up to 12 people while the magnificent Private Dining Room with a view of Congress Street can accommodate up to 45 people.
