Are you aware that the French word for meow is "miaou"? Apart from this information, you should certainly be aware that Miaou is among the most well-known brand names in Y2K clothing. You've probably seen influencers and celebrities wearing distinctive corsets and other clothing.

Miaou, which is French for "meow" (yep, the sound a cat makes), may be the most recognizable of all the brands on the list. You'd be hard-pressed to browse through your timeline without seeing a member of the style crowd wearing something from the hot label, what with the plethora of corsets and micro-mini skirts.

Miaou has always felt good in her clothes. It was the beginning of it all. In search of a pair of pants that would be the "ideal fit," not just for herself but also for her friends, fashion designer Alexia Elkaim The search turned up nothing, so Elkaim decided to take matters into her own hands in 2016 and design a unique pair of denim pants that were modeled after a treasured vintage find from Paris, giving rise to the brand that is now known as Miaou. These form-fitting jeans propelled Miaou into the spotlight very quickly, enthralling friends and influencers alike and setting Elkaim off on a fantastical journey.
