Subsurface TV
The closest thing to Y2K you can get is visible thongs, popularly known as "whale tales." With the aid of Subsurface TV, a buzzy direct-to-consumer brand that places circularity at its core, the risqué silhouette gained popularity once more this year. The controversial trend is interpreted by the Los Angeles-based company in the form of a comfortable pull-on pant with a high waist and a slight thong-shaped cutout at the back. Influencers like Jen Ceballos of @endlesslyloveclub and Emma Leger are just a couple of the fashion elite who are embracing the comeback craze.
It's critical that they design with the end in mind. These clothes can be worn for a lifetime and handed down to others because they are made from durable fabrics and materials. Yet eventually, every piece of clothing requires a makeover. They are accountable for the clothes they design, including how and where they are used.
As part of their circularity program, they invite their customers to send back certain surface pieces rather than discarding their clothing. Email circularity@subsurface.tv for a free shipping label. Their team will work in collaboration with a third party to recycle the item by mechanically and/or chemically reducing it to its natural fibers and then creating a new version of it.
