Mignonette Downtown
Chef Daniel Serfer and Ryan Roman founded the Miami oyster bar Mignonette. They have a wide variety of oysters, shellfish, vegetables, and plain and fancy fish. They did a terrific job of preserving the floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the intimate banquettes and tables with light when they refurbished this former 1930s petrol station across from a historic Miami cemetery. There is usually a diverse bunch of customers, from locals craving fresh oysters to business types wanting to impress their clients with the several kinds of caviar on the menu.
The intriguing thing about Mignonette is that it is both upscale and down-to-earth, allowing everyone to blend in. Additionally, the cuisine is separated into "simple," "fancy," and even "ultra fancy." The seafood tower, which includes clams, oysters, shrimp and crab cocktails, lobster tail, and crab legs, is the best option if you want to sample a variety of dishes. Everyone can find something on their interesting wine list.
