Miracle: Letters to the President (2021)
Lee Jang-hoon is the director and co-writer of Miracle: Letters to the President, a 2021 South Korean romantic drama movie for Blossom Pictures. The movie, which also stars Park Jeong-min, Lee Sung-min, and Im Yoon-ah, is based on the actual tale of Joon-kyeong, a math prodigy from high school. The movie chronicles the narrative of creating a straightforward, privately owned train station in the 1980s in a distant township of North Gyeongsang Province.
This fictitious movie is based on the actual account of a family that lived in a rural, off-the-beaten-path part of North Gyeongsang Province in the 1980s. Engineer Tae-yoon wants to build a train station in his community since it has tracks but no station. High school math whiz Joon-gyeong is his kid. In 1988, he establishes a tiny, privately owned railway station in the town with the help of his lover Ra-hee, his older sister Bo-gyeong, and the locals.
