Molten
Incorporated in 1958, Molten is the world's largest manufacturer of balls and sports equipment. The Japanese company has been producing balls for several team sports, including soccer, and has naturally become the official basketball manufacturer for all FIBA competitions and all Olympics around the world for over 30 years.
Regarding beautiful game, their first soccer ball was approved as an "official ball" by FIFA in 1973. In 1991, they became the official supplier of soccer balls to the Japanese Professional Football League (JLeague), seeing the first soccer ball that received "checked ball" approval by the Japan Football Association nine years ago.
Decades later, Molten brought the technology to the Teamgeist project, working with Adidas to develop the official ball for the 2006 World Cup in Germany. In 2017, the Japanese brand signed a contract with UEFA to become the official supplier of balls for the UEFA Europa League club competitions, replacing Adidas from 2018 to 2020.
