When his grandpa attempts to enroll him in a severe boarding school, Dae-woong flees and finds up at a Buddhist temple, where a woman's voice instructs him to draw nine tails on a picture of a fox. He then encounters a female who tells him she was the gumiho in the artwork and is hiding her true identity from others. As they spend more time together, he discovers that, rather than the terrible figure of mythology, Mi-ho is adorable and full of wonder, and he falls in love with her.
