Najran University
Najran University is a Saudi Arabian state-funded public research university that offers degrees in medicine, engineering, theology, computer science, and the humanities. Nano-Technology Research Center, Engineering and Scientific Research Center, Center for Sensors and Electronic Devices, and others are among the research centers and labs housed there. King Khalid University established Najran University as a community college. On November 11, 2006, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz issued a royal command to transform Najran's community college into a self-sustaining university.
Najran University has an expansive campus that covers 18 million square meters, making it one of the largest university campuses on the Arabian Peninsula. In 2006, King Abdullah issued a royal order establishing the institution. There are 15 academic departments at the university, with a total of 25 majors. The total number of pupils enrolled is close to 12,000 people.
