Taif University (TU)
Taif University is located in Hawiyya, an outlying neighborhood of Taif some 25 kilometers due north, within the grounds of King Saud's Palace. The 380,000-square-meter site comprises of three palaces that have been restored and remodeled in a way that blends modernity and technology with magnificent antiquity and traditional architecture on the one hand and traditional architecture on the other. The Government Palace houses the College of Education and the Central Library, while the University Administration is housed in the Residential Palace, which is connected to the Government Palace by a 200-meter hallway. The Heritage Museum will be housed in the third palace, which used to belong to the King's mother.
The university's main campus, which opened in 2003, is housed inside the grounds of King Saud's Palace in Hawiyya, a Taif neighborhood. Outside of Taif, the University of Tunisia has a few colleges. It began as a college that was a part of King Abdulaziz University and subsequently became a part of Umm Al Qura University before becoming a university of its own and offers courses in a variety of subjects of study.
