Naschmarkt
This, Naschmarkt, is Vienna's largest and best market, stretching 500 meters down Linke Wienzeile between the U4 stops of Kettenbrückengasse and Karlsplatz. Meats, fruits and vegetables (including exotic species), spices, wines, cheeses, olives, Indian and Middle Eastern specialties, and kebab and felafel stands may be found on the western (Kettengasse) end. There are 123 fixed stalls in all, including a number of sit-down eateries.
Another 35 spaces are reserved for temporary stalls such as farmers' markets. The eastern end of the market is dominated by stalls selling Indian fabrics, jewelry, and trashy souvenirs. On Saturdays, a Flohmarkt (flea market) is set up.
