National Taiwan Normal University
National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) has long been regarded as one of Taiwan's premier institutions of higher learning, characterized by both tradition and innovation. NTNU was originally established in 1922 as a teacher education college. Later on, the institution became a comprehensive university, offering students and scholars the opportunity to study and do research in a variety of subjects. NTNU has always been committed to academic achievement, as evidenced by the numerous renowned educators and scholars who have studied at the university over the years.
NTNU's objective to develop critical thinkers and equip students to address the challenges of an ever-changing world has drawn thousands of bright students and intellectuals from Taiwan and around the world. NTNU provides 62 academic courses in nine degree-granting colleges across three sites in Taipei City and New Taipei City. Colleges of Education, Liberal Arts, Science, Technology, and Engineering, College of International Studies and Social Sciences, College of Sports and Recreation, College of Arts, College of Music, and College of Management are among them. NTNU is also home to the internationally famous Mandarin Training Center. The Mandarin Training Center hosts over 1,800 students from over 70 countries each year in language classes.
