National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University
National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University is considered one of the best universities in Taiwan. In 2021, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University was formed by the merger of two universities: National Yang-Ming University and National Chiao Tung University.
Yang Ming, which specialized in biomedical research, and Chiao Tung, which specialized in electronic communication research, were both top-tier Taiwanese institutions.
There are currently 19 colleges and 74 university/college research centers. Artificial intelligence and green energy, biological science and technology, computer science, dentistry, humanity and social science, Hakka studies, law, life sciences, medical, nursing, management, and general education are among the faculties available.
In addition to medical education, there is a university hospital in Yilan that provides real teaching experience in several fields outside of the classroom. Students can find student dormitories, libraries, labs, seminar rooms, conference rooms, and offices on campus.
There are extensive sporting facilities for students who are interested in sports, including a gymnasium, hilltop stadium, surface stadium, and swimming pool. There is a multipurpose court, an aerobics room, a table tennis room, a weight-training room, and a cardiopulmonary room in the gymnasium. Basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and badminton can all be played on the multifunctional court. There is also a 400m track.
The National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University Arts Centre, which opened in 2021, is also nearby. It combines artistic activity and student resources gathered throughout time. On campus, the center also organizes and promotes a wide range of artistic activities, including as exhibitions, art performances, seminars, public talks by prominent speakers, and literary and photography awards.
