The National University of Singapore (NUS) is the flagship university of Singapore, one of the world's leading universities centered in Asia. On campuses, The National University of Singapore includes 17 faculties and schools. It offers a broad-based curriculum with multi-disciplinary courses and cross-faculty enrichment as part of its transformative education. In 1956, the then-University of Malaya established the NUS Faculty of Law as a Department of Law. The university's Bukit Timah campus welcomed its first law students the following year. The faculty moved to the Kent Ridge campus in 1980, but returned to the Bukit Timah location in 2006.

The law school also offers double honours degrees in Business Administration & Law, Economics & Law, Law & Life Sciences, and a concurrent degree program in Law & Public Policy, in addition to the regular four-year LLB. The law school offers coursework LLM specialisations in Corporate and Financial Services Law, Intellectual Property & Technology Law, International & Comparative Law, Maritime Law, and Asian Legal Studies to graduate students.
