The University of Mumbai is an Indian public university. The Department of Law was founded in November 1959 with the goal of providing an LL.M degree program, post-graduate legal education, and stimulating legal research among the early students of India, a newly formed country. This was one of the first universities established by the British government in the Subcontinent. It comprises 36 departments, 354 linked institutions, and two post-graduate centers. It has a reputation for industrial cooperation and offers a variety of professional courses.
