Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC)
The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is a 501 non-profit international environmental organization based in the United States, headquartered in New York City, with offices in Washington DC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Delhi, Chicago, Bozeman and Beijing. Founded in 1970, NRDC has over 3 million members, operates online across the country, and employs approximately 700 lawyers, academics, and other policy professionals.
The NRDC, more than 350 lawyers, scientists, and other experts collaborates with businesses, elected officials, and community groups in the United States and internationally to work with businesses, elected officials, and community groups to advance efforts to curb global warming, clean energy, renew the world's oceans, and protect endangered and wildlife. They all collaborate on issues including pollution prevention, safe and sufficient water availability, and sustainable community development.
