Ocean Conservancy

Ocean Conservancy (founded as Delta Corporation) is a non-profit environmental organization based in Washington, DC, USA. The organization helps formulate maritime policy at the federal and state levels through peer-reviewed scientific research.

Since 1972, Ocean Conservancy has been working to protect the health and vitality of the oceans, including the species that call them home and those who depend on them for their livelihoods. As part of the International Coastal Cleanup Program, the organization has removed 144,606,491 pounds of garbage from beaches around the world over the past 25 years.
