NBA 2K
NBA 2K is a video game series developed by Visual Concepts that has been released annually since 1999. Each game in the series is designed to mimic the sport of basketball, especially the National Basketball Association. Sega Sports was the first to publish the series. Beginning with NBA 2K6 in 2005, the series is now published by 2K Sports. As of 2021, the series has twenty-three major chapters and various offshoot titles spread across eighteen platforms. The NBA 2K League, an official eSports league, debuted in 2018.
Each iteration of the NBA 2K series emulates the National Basketball Association and offers minor, if not significant, improvements over prior installments. As such, gameplay replicates a conventional basketball game, with the user directing a whole team or a specific individual; objectives correspond to basketball regulations, and presentation matches genuine broadcast NBA games. The series has included a number of game modes, providing for a wide range of gaming options. Numerous game aspects have adjustable choices. Each game includes teams and players from the current NBA season, as well as previous NBA teams and players, EuroLeague clubs, and (beginning with NBA 2K20) WNBA teams. It is also possible to construct and compile fictional players and teams.
